About Paula's Tarot Reading

There are many misconceptions about the use of the Tarot. First of all, let me give you my solemn promise that having a reading can not harm you in any way.

There is an aura of mystery surrounding the Tarot. Even the true history of the Tarot is lost in obscurity and there are many theories of where the Tarot really originated. How the Tarot originated is, however, not important to us.

Doing a reading does not solely depend on chance - there is much more to it than that. It is a system that, by accessing the subconscious of the Questioner (we are not aware of how this actually happens), reveals certain facts of the past, the present and the future of the Questioner.

Although the Tarot is an oracle, a means of divining the future, that is not the main feature we are going to focus on. My main aim with reading the cards is to open the problematic areas of your subconscious mind, help you face up to them and arrive at solutions to these problems for yourself.

The Tarot can be regarded as a tool that we use to give us insights about our inner selves and can be regarded as a teaching aid in the process of self-development.

When you ask your question(s) (lock out the children, take the 'phone off the hook and ask everybody for ten minutes solitude!) , concentrate on your question very intensely. Then write the question(s) down and E-Mail them to me.

When I receive your question(s), I will meditate on them for a time to make the psychic connection and then commence with the reading. As you probably realise, through our electronic mail, we immediately establish a psychic link.

You may not always like what I reveal to you, but remember one thing - I do not invent the answers, they come to me through psychic evaluation of your question(s). I will always reveal to you exactly what I read in the Card(s) - good or bad, and explain the symbolic meanings of what I read in the Cards.

The main thing you have to remember, however, is that the Tarot is NOT A MEANS OF FORTUNETELLING, BUT DIVINATION. FORTUNETELLING means that whatever the fortune-teller tells you, must happen, i.e. if the fortune-teller tells you that you will be run over by a bus, that is what will happen to you. DIVINATION THROUGH THE TAROT opens up avenues of possibilities that may happen under certain circumstances, leaving you with the freedom to make your choices. The Tarot shows you how things can change in the future, for better or for worse, and can help you prepare for it and it helps you to look at your life, not as a series of isolated events, but as a pattern unfolding. 

Doing a Tarot reading involves two different facilities:

• simply by interpreting the cards according to their meanings, and
• to give full reign to your intuition about the meanings of the cards.

There is a lot of symbolism in the cards which should be taken into consideration by the reader and explained to the Questioner in such a manner that it is understandable.

I concentrate in the following types of readings:
 

* A complete reading in which I make an intense study of your past, present and also the future possibilities (usually
a reading consisting of between 9 to sometimes 20 different spreads.) I do this type of reading when you just want
to know where your life is heading in general.
* When you have specific questions on specific problem areas in your life, I do a short background study, address
the problem/s in detail and also look at future possibilities, offering advice from the cards on possible solutions.
This is also a long reading of between 8 and 20 spreads.
* An astrological reading, with a forecast of the possibilities for the next twelve months.
* A reading where I concentrate on the spiritual side of your life in much more detail instead of the mundane,
everyday events and problems. (Long reading).
* A weekly reading for the next seven days.
* A short, two-spread reading concentrating very shortly on a specific problem.

I do a variety of different spreads, specifically designed for certain questions.

I use various decks of cards for my readings, depending on the reading. All the cards that I use are standard Tarot Decks, consisting of 78 cards (22 Major Arcana Cards and 56 Minor Arcana Cards).
